I have about half a dozen formal dresses from high school proms and other such occassions. I don't have any plans to wear any of them in the near future, but I want to keep them for sentimental reasons. Unfortunately, they are taking up too much room in my small closet and I need to move them to the attic. What is the best type of container for storing these garments?

First, it's for my gf, not for me! Second, all the dresses we found are either too formal or too casual. She asked me to help her look online, but I don't know where to search. Where can I go? Would you happen to have any suggestions? At least for me to use as examples of what I should be looking for in a semi-formal dresses? Thanks in advance for the help!
